working with karma.

by basd Email

I hate to waste good karma on useless stuff. Like the other day, I got a parking spot very close to the restaurant door in a full parking lot by some happenstance.

...

I do not need to be wasting karma on things like this. I am fine with walking. In fact, given life's up and downs, I don't really mind that I can consistently beat the odds -- to the negative side -- in any game of chance. Think flipping a coin is a 50-50 proposition? Not when I do it. I will instantly lose far more than 50% of the time.

But -- I don't care. I cannot be wasting any karma on gambling. Life is way too complicated and I will be needing it for other purposes.

However, my daughter just pointed out that if I can waste good karma on unnecessary trivia, then the opposite should be true. Bad karma arguably can be used up just as well.

That puts Friday's computer meltdown in another light. Significant bad karma used up, I survived.

Okay then.
