why can't I be in Jamaica?
By basd on Jan 18, 2009 | In kde4
I don't help program KDE, I just upgrade incessantly and occasionally bitch about bugs. And, I can't afford a trip to Jamaica -- but I wish I was there:
Wade Olson says of Camp KDE Day 1, "Oh sure, people are privately coming up to me and complaining, 'Why Wade, why am I forced to spend time with friends and talk about free software in the Caribbean?'”
But ... I suspect I could handle this unfortunate downside.
Well, maybe I will go to SCALE in a couple of weeks. It's a Linux convention in L.A., which is not quite the same commute for me, but sure to engage lots of open source aficionados.
