the opensuse initrid kernel problem returns?
By basd on Mar 27, 2009 | In opensuse
The number one search on my site in recent days has been for solutions to the broken 2.6.27.19 kernel from OpenSUSE 11.1. Which, as far as I know, was fixed.
...
In fact, I am seeing more searches now than at the time I installed the broken kernel and had to work around it for awhile.
I find this puzzling, since as far as I know, the packages were fixed. (I ultimately "fixed" my broken kernel by reinstalling it from YAST.)
I wonder if the broken version is on the iso for the current install CD or something. It just seems strange to me that a number of people are seeking a solution for a problem that as far as I know is already fixed.
It also seems a bit strange that people are reaching MY site about this. One would think the problem (and solution) would have been discussed on the OpSu forums by now, or some other high-visibility location.
Hmmm.
