one dup may not be enough.

I previously reported that I upgraded OpenSUSE from 11.2 to 11.3 merely by changing the repositories and running "zypper dup." This seemed to work sufficiently well that I did the same thing on a second computer.
...
I did, however, gloss over some minor malfunctions. Banshee was using 100% cpu and therefore was essentially non-functional. The nightly build version of Songbird wouldn't run, claimed it couldn't find certain libraries. I assumed these were problems with the packages and not my upgrade.
But ... I just tried to install XEN hypervisor. It claims to have installed ok, but the hypervisor boot simply dies.
I therefore suspected there was a problem with my install and so I ran zypper dup again. Imagine my suprise to see that something like 700 packages require upgrade/repository change.
Zypper dup is running now -- too soon to tell whether any of these issues have been resolved.
