more stuff that just works, er, [fail]

So, I got my daughter a 32 gb iPod Touch for her birthday and inherited her 8 gb one. She upgraded to iOS 4.0 and now randomly the screen goes completely white.

No fix yet apparently -- lots of people having this bug and no comment from Apple. Then I read on Deutsche Welle that there are serious security flaws in iOS that allow malicious websites to completely hijack the Touch and the iPhone. And to think I was just whining about Blackberry -- about which I have yet a further update: Seems Saudi Arabia has banned them because they cannot adequately spy on Blackberry users. This is due to the fact that RIM won't give them the encryption codes so they can keep track of S.A. citizens. And their big complaint? RIM gives the encryption codes to US and UK authorities so these countries DO HAVE REAL TIME ACCESS TO BLACKBERRY DATA, so why can't the Saudi government have the same deal?
