So ... my kde 3.5 missing panel configurator occurs in build 83, but not build 32.  I found another bash execution oddity in lxde: I have a bash script that runs in a terminal session that checks for an sshfs connection to my webserver.  In KDE 4, the script will launch a kdialog box to ask if I want to connect and then launch a kdialog box for the connect password.  MOST IMPORTANTLY, the connection stays running when the bash script exits.  But ... in an lxde session, the very same script (a) asks for the password in my terminal session rather than via kdialog (even though the kdialog box comes up to ask if I want to connect in the first place); and MORE IMPORTANTLY, does not leave the sshfs connection running when the terminal session closes.  (I added a "nohup" command to solve the problem, as I only wish to connect ONCE, not every time I run the script.)
