little things that drive me nuts
By basd on Sep 5, 2010 | In -arghhh!!
For some reason in LXDE, the xfce power management keeps telling me I am running on battery power.? OK already.? I know.? Now go away. (But no...)
...
In my OpSu 11.3 install, the screen insists on locking when I close the lid, despite having set every setting I can find telling it not to do this.? There is quite a lag before I can unlock and it is really annoying, since I often close the top and need to open the netbook and get it active really fast.? OpSu 11.2 did not have this problem.
And, it's worse in KDE 4.4 than in LXDE, so once again, I'm "stuck" using LXDE.
I'd like to have the plasma features running.? But, the compiz on LXDE, or LXDE on compiz, whichever, is looking pretty good.
This is weird.? LXDE installed from Ubuntu and LXDE installed from sources has a neat little CPU monitor to put in the panel.? LXDE installed from OpSu doesn't.? What's the thinking here? (Later: but you can add it manually by adding a plugin item "type=cpu" to the panel config file.)
And LXDE -- why can't touchpad tapping stay enabled?? Everytime I log in, I have to run gsynaptics and re-check the box to turn tapping on.
