As mentioned, I've been using the lxde desktop on some of my computers.
Some things execute a bit faster. It picks up the autostart programs that I setup in KDE, so it launches my top of the screen kde 3.5 panel and nm-applet to access the wireles… more »

I always thought the allegedly "on/off" switch for the Gateway LT3103u wireless was non-functional. That is, until I inadvertently shut it off. It's not a two-position switch, it's a "engage and release" switch. d'oh. So, I spent some time wondering… more »

majorly issues

Well, my hp zd7000 OpSu 11.2/KDE 4.4 install has gone cuckoo. Not only does it use considerable cpu at idle, when the power management kicks in and turns OFF the screen, cpu usage skyrockets to 60% and the fans kick on full blast.
