fstab problem resolved

A lot of my .desktop launcher files are on my external drive.  They wouldn't launch.  I had previously mounted the partition "defaults,user".  Research indicated the partition needed to be "exec" -- which should be a default?  I changed fstab to "default" and it seems to work now.
