eyeOS aha ...

Further to my earlier post, the problem with eyeDocs seems to be a compatibility issue with some Firefox addon I am running. Not "NoScript", though -- once I allow javascript on the eyeOS page, we're okay (in a profile that is missing most of my other addons).
...
It occurred to me to check different browsers, as the eyeOS has a browser compatibility list. I don't have any versions of Firefox that are not updated to at least 3.09. I tested 3.09 running on linux and 3.10 running on both linux and windowsXP. Same result -- just a basic text box and no widgets in eyeDocs.
Then I tested MSIE -- eyeDocs came up correctly with all the widgets and exited correctly.
I then tested eyeDocs from my linux Konqueror and it came up (and exited) correctly. Then I started version 1 of this post, thinking I had isolated a "Firefox" issue. But, while typing the post, it occurred to me it could be an addon issue. So, I ran Firefox with a different profile (in which I have very few addons -- but which does have NoScript) -- and once I authorized javascript for the eyeOS site in NoScript, the eyeDocs program ran fine.
So, the issue must be in some other addon, but I don't know which one it might be. I'll have to track this down.
No, I did not actually edit or save any documents.
Thank you for visiting and have a pleasant tomorrow.
