debeagling
By basd on Apr 5, 2009 | In opensuse
One of the first things I do when my new OpenSUSE install completes is shut off Nepomuk and remove Beagle.
...
Do people really use these? I suppose at least the developers must. In years and years of using SuSE, I have never once used either of these features. So, why have the resources running?
This is from Gabriel Stein, writing on Planet SUSE about openFATE feature tracking:
"UPDATE: And I must admit the best suggestion is take out beagle! If one developer will do that task, please send to me the number of the bank account, because I will pay 5(five) pints of Guinness. Seriously!"
All of which reminds me -- I think I haven't removed beagle from my new install yet. Or else I did it reflexively and forgot (I don't see a beagle icon in the corner of my Firefox ...)
