blog stats update

I just MAYBE have a stable enough KDE 4.4.4 system (now in OpSu 11.3) to return to using it as my default desktop. Which has not been the case since 4.2 or so. Now, I do acknowledge that KDE's official position is "fie on non-kde contributors," but guess what team? The most searched for info on my blog is now LXDE -- by a wide margin. For a lot of people, "stuff that actually works all the time" is preferable to "way glitzy-er than a MAC." So, you know, "useability counts?"
...
I have to assume that with OpSu/Novell's decision to make KDE 4.4 theinstaller's default desktop, for the most part it must be working on the typical hardware configuration(s) they are using. I have documented how "it ain't exactly so" over here on the collection of netbooks and obsolete computers I work with. Perhaps I am not alone.

*Not clear to me whether I qualify as a "contributor" by virtue of having worked the KDE table at the Los Angeles SCALE expo and by virtue of the many hints and info I have provided on my webpages; or if I am relegated to "irrelevant non-contributor" status by virtue of my many posts that point out difficulties I run into with KDE. From reading the KDE blogs, I rather think I fall into the latter category. But, it's important to note (as I have elsewhere) that the KDE software collection is an essential part of all my computer software. This is true even when I am running the LXDE desktop out of frustration with unresolvable quirks in KDE.
