all better

"All better" may be a tad optimistic, but I ran "zypper dup" to do a distro update and the packages sorted themselves out so KDE 4.4.4 is now working on my Acer Aspire One.? With some added benefits, no less, in that things that have been problematic seemed to have gotten solved.? "Suspend to Ram" is working quite nicely and the CPU is no longer revving to 80% when the computer is idle and the screen is off.? Compositing effects are working.? So, for the first time in a long while it looks like I may be able to use? KDE plasma desktop instead of LXDE.
PS -- I like the "search & launch" Desktop Activity, but on the Acer it is too slow to be truly useful.? The classic application menu is still the better way to go.
