akregator feeds

When akregator installs, it includes some kde and linux feeds. These are worth browsing if one is interested in the "human side" of the software we are using. It's a ton of work, after all -- and I regret not being able to be a real contributor. I can do "fast & dirty" program patches, but I get lost trying to understand and comply with the existing code structure. So, kudos to all who put in the slavishly long hours making software that contributes so much to the free world.
Follow up:
Speaking of Akregator, my column structure keeps disappearing -- so I will mention a hint that seems to work for me. Akregator often comes up with only the title and date columns displayed, even though all are marked as visible.
To fix this, I turn everything off but the title (right-clicking on the column header row), then turn back on the "feed", which reappears, then turn back on the date, which reappears -- but off the screen. I then scroll to the right, grab the sizing marker and drag it until the scroll bar disappears. Among other things, the last sizing marker at the end must be brought to the left, because otherwise the date column is huge. (Then I adjust everything with the sizing markers until I like the layout.) Sometimes this layout will persist, but often it has to be redone on the next re-start. It may have something to do with whether I "exit" akregator or merely shutdown kde without exiting.
